Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh)
Home to India's largest shipbuilding yard, the coastal city is of commercial and industrial importance. It was originally two separate towns-Waltair andVisakhapatnam. As Vizag grew, the pair gradually merged. Dolphin's Nose, the rocky promontory, is the chief attraction. At Simhachalam Hill (16. km) is an 11th c. Vishnu Temple.
